Favela Hostel - Zagreb

I got excellent value for my money at this cozy and well-decorated hostel. The room was spacious, clean, and recently renovated. The location was convenient with easy access to the city center via the nearby tram stop. The staff, especially the friendly and helpful owner, were really nice too ensure I had a great stay. They even ordered pizza for me when I arrived late and offered to make me sandwiches. a wonderful experience!

The breakfast selection could be improved.

The rooms at Favela Hostel were so cozy and comfortable, with a nice seating area where we could just relax and unwind after a long day of exploring Zagreb. And the fact that they were air-conditioned was a real lifesaver, especially during the hot summer days. Plus, the free Wi-Fi was a great added bonus!

I personally would have preferred to have a private bathroom instead of a shared one, but I understand that some people might not mind it at all.

The staff was friendly and helpful, always willing to assist. the room was clean and cozy, with air conditioning to combat the summer heat. the location was convenient, situated midway between the airport and the city center. a good choice for a short stay in the city.

There were a few downsides. the parking situation was also disappointing, with only one available space that was shared with the owner's belongings, leading to potential damage to our car.

Friendly host, accepted our cat, no issues with late check-in. Clean, well-decorated and cozy small apartment at a great price. Convenient tram stop nearby for easy access to downtown. Owner's sense of humor evident with funny items at reception and clever toilet signs.

I had a great time staying at this hostel. The lady who runs it was kind and helpful. She provided me with useful advice and even assisted me with exchanging currency and purchasing public transport tickets. The room I stayed in was suitable for a short stay, with a comfortable bed, chair, wardrobe, and a TV. The bathroom, located right opposite the room, was clean. I also enjoyed the small garden patio where I could relax outside. the hostel had a vending machine with soft drinks and coffee. I had a very positive experience, particularly appreciated by solo travelers.

Nothing not to love!

The most relaxing hostel stay ever! Super friendly staff, flexible check-in, great location , and adorable pets. Would definitely stay again!

The hostel is in a convenient location, close to public transportation and Maksimir. the room was clean, with a comfortable bed, TV, and good WiFi signal. the staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. the hostel had multiple bathrooms, ensuring there was always one available. Despite its shabbiness, the hostel had a sense of humor, with amusing items at reception and quirky signs.

The lack of isolation in the rooms and proximity to noisy railroads made it difficult to sleep without earplugs. the rooftop window couldn't be opened properly, resulting in a boiling hot room.

The location is very convenient, close to the train station and easy to get to. The friendly host was accommodating and even allowed us to bring our cat along. Plus, the late check-in was not a problem. We also enjoyed the fact that the host provided us with kuna for the coffee machine.

Our experience at this hostel was not great overall. The internet was non-existent, which was a big issue since we needed it for work.

Favela Hostel is my go-to place in Zagreb. Great staff and they helped me with late check-out. It has everything I need - Wi-Fi, kitchen, AC, TV. Plus, outdoor area, picnic tables, and even beach umbrellas. Luggage storage available and pets allowed. Can't wait for Easter!

We had a great stay at the hostel. The owner, Zeljka, was friendly and cute. She answered all our requests and even accepted our cat without any problems. Late check-in wasn't a problem either. The hostel was clean and tidy, and the air conditioning was a plus. The location was convenient, with easy access to the center of the city via tram. I would highly recommend this place for its friendly atmosphere and good value for money.

A recently renovated room with excellent bathroom facilities, friendly and helpful owner, coffee machine and bikes for hire, convenient amenities like stove, fridge, vending machine.

Couldn't find any faults at all.
